For the month of July and #givingbackmonthly Wasteless Design supports the animal shelter Vrouva Farm Aegina donating 5% of last month's profits and presenting you with this amazing venture.
A piece of land in the pine forest on the island of Aegina has been turned into an earthly paradise for abandoned, old and abused animals. The project started by Alexia in 2011 but has been embraced and supported by dozens of volunteers, both occasional and more permanent. The animals currently housed in Bruva are about 120 and consist of equidae, dogs, cats, sheep, kids, chickens, pigs, rabbits and the first rescued cow in Greece, Elpida, rescued by Konstantina whom I introduced to you. last month at Giving Back June.
In a society where man sees animals as tools and uses them to meet his needs, Alexia has chosen to reverse roles by creating a place where people care for and 'serve' animals by adopting a non-pessimistic lifestyle that rewards her daily. with the immense love he receives from these pure creatures. THE @vrouva_farm_aegina has no electricity, hot water or WiFi and for its infrastructure chooses the reuse of materials having as small an ecological footprint as possible but also maintaining its economic viability.
Volunteers are welcome as the animals need daily care, feeding, cleaning, walks and love. Alexia and all Bruvia's dream is to live in a world where there will be no need for animal shelters, but until then anyone who wants to donate a few days of their time can contact the farm page when it receives visitors or if not can support with physical presence and wants to help can make a donation regardless of the amount as any amount can be used for the care of animals.
